2009 begins

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I barely made it to see the CST ball drop. This time last year I was hoping to better manage my time and begin blogging along with a couple other "crafty" projects as well as promising to keep a cleaner/neater house. One out of three isn't too bad is it? I have decided not to make a resolution this year - in the traditional sense anyway.

The definition of resolution I normally think of is something like...........

The state or quality of being resolute; firm determination.

I have not wanted to make resolutions in the past because there really wasn't anything I wanted to have a firm determination for (that I wasn't already doing). So, I found a new definition and out look on resolutions. RESOLUTION: An explanation, as of a problem or puzzle; a solution.

In the up coming year I want to be part of a solution. In my home, in my marriage, in my workplace, in my community, and in all my relationships. Now that it's public I'm accountable and now that it's in black and white it seems awfully big - we'll see how I fare!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU AND HOPE YOUR 2009 IS FULL OF PROSPERITY, HOPE, AND LOVE FOR LIFE!

You have a great attitude.

For as long as I can remember, our family has always spent New Year's Eve at home. We would play board games, have fun food like pizza or nachos, and ALL KINDS of snacks. We would polish off a bottle of sparkling grape juice AND a bottle of sparkling cider. We would watch all the corny New Year's Eve TV specials.

This year, the kids were old enough to make their own plans. They went to the church all night lock in which I guess is commendable. I was in bed shortly past 8 pm! Sadly, it seems our long, time honored tradition of our family New Year's Eve party has ended. This is certainly heralding the fact that in just a few short years, they will be off on their own. My how the years have flown!

My point is that they are only little for a short, short while and I resolve not to waste another precious minute.
